Well, what does this book on communication have to do with devsecops? Well, a lot actually. I think that the way we communicate with each other is very important in programming, especially when it comes to working in teams.

I took down some fast notes while reading the book, and I will share them here.

  • “had to” - vague impersonal force
  • “because I am " - condition, diagnosis, person , psychological history - personalized with it
  • “hit my child because he xx xx " - actions of other
  • “lied because was asked to” - authority
  • “friends/family did the same” - group pressure
  • “because of my role, social role, age role” - blame on role
  • overcome my urge to eat the candy - impulses
